fozzy - the site author This page is all about my sexuality, what it means to me, how I came out and is designed to help others who are 'coming to terms - coming out - finding out'. All the entries for my Coming Out Story have been taken directly from of my on-line Journal (Mutterings & Ramblings). All I have done is take out the sections that don't relate to this particular story in my life.

For approximately 10 years I have known that I am Gay and only now at the age of 22 can freely talk about it, this shouldn't be the case. Homosexuality is not a disease, it is not immoral, it is not a choice, it is not wrong, it is a variation of natures theme. On a physical level just because Tab A doesn't fit into Slot B doesn't mean it is not natural to those who are Lesbian, Gay or Bi-Sexual. Or as someone else said 'It doesn't matter if 5inches of flesh stick in or out' or to quote a well respected TV critic 'the only difference between hetero and homo is a few inches in the dark'.

I strongly believe that we as a society have a long way to go before we can live in a place were we can say everyone is equal. That means no racism, no sexism, no holy wars because someone believes in a different God, no ageism, no homophobia and no prejudice etc. Now I am the first person in the world to admit that that will never exist. But we can do a lot to ensure that we look after our planet, our fellow human beings, the environment, nature and space. If by writing these pages I help one person realise that being Gay isn't wrong and it helps them become more accepting, or if it helps give the courage / strength to one person to come out, then as far as I can see it has all been worth it.

I should also briefly explain the page name - grab. When I started to design the site I didn't want it to be known as 'Mat's Gay Pages'. I just felt that would not have portrayed what the pages are about and for. So I came up with the abbreviation g.r.a.b - gay resources and pages. Now I know that the abbreviation just doesn't work. But when I thought of the name I had a momentary attack of dyslexia or something. Anyway, I liked it and so the name stuck.

Hopefully you will find something in this site that helps you or someone you know or love. If you would like to have your coming out story included, or better still would like to write a document to be included in the site please see the contact page.
